[verse 1] The sone of oon and twenti ȝer was Sedechie, whan he to regnen hadde bi|gunne, and elleuene ȝer he regnede in Jerusalem; and name of his moder Amycal, doȝter of Jeremye of Lobna. [verse 2] And he dide in the eȝen of the Lord euelis, after alle thinges that don hadde Joachym. [verse 3] For the wodnesse of the Lord was in Jerusalem, and in Juda, for to that he shulde aferr throwe them fro hys face. And Sedechye wente awei fro the king of Babiloyne. [verse 4] Don is forsothe in the nynthe ȝer of his regne, in the tenthe moneth, the tenthe dai of the moneth, cam Nabugodonosor, king of Babiloyne, he and al his ost, aȝen Jerusalem; and besegeden it, and bilden aȝen it strength|ingus [strengthis AH.] in cumpas. [verse 5] And the cite was be|segid, vnto the elleuenthe ȝer of the regne of Sedechie. [verse 6] The ferthe forsothe monyth, the nynthe dai of the moneth, hunger withheeld the cite; and ther were not foodis to the puple of the lond. [verse 7] And broken is the cyte, and alle his men fiȝteres floun [fledden AE sec. m. GHK.] ; and thei wenten out of [Om. E pr. m.] the cite the nyȝt, bi the [Om. G pr. m. H.] weie of the ȝate, that is betwen [betwix A.] two wallis, and ledeth to the gardyn of the king, the Caldeis be|segende the cite in cumpas; and thei wenten awei bi the wey that ledeth in to wildernesse. [verse 8] Forsothe the ost of Cal|deis pursueden the king, and caȝten Se|dechie in desert, that is biside Jericho; and al his ost fleiȝ awei fro hym. [verse 9] And whan thei hadden take the king, thei broȝten hym to the king of Babiloyne in Reblatha, that is in the lond of Emath; and he spac to hym domus. [verse 10] And the king of Babiloyne kutte the throtus of the sonus of Sedechie in his eȝen; but and al the princes of Jude he sloȝ in Reblatha. [verse 11] And the eȝen of Sede|chie he putte [pullide AEGHK.] out, and bond hym in gyues; and the king of Babiloyne broȝt hym in to Babiloyne, and putte hym in to the hous of the prisoun, vnto the dai
