[verse 1] A wis domesman shal demen his puple; and the princehod of the `wel felende, `or witti [Om. C et E pr. m.] , shal ben stable. [verse 2] Aftir the domesman of the puple, so and the seruauntis of hym; and whiche maner [Om. C pr. m.] is the gouernour of the cyte, suche and the dwelleris in [of A.] it. [verse 3] An vnwis king shal leesen his puple; and cites shul ben enhabitid bi the wit of prudent men. [verse 4] In the hond of God the power of the erthe, and abhominable alle wickidnesses of the [Om. AGH.] Jentiles; and a pro|fitable gouernour in tyme he shal reren vp on it. [verse 5] In the hond of God is [Om. AEGH.] the power of man; and vp on the face of the `scribe, or man of lawe [scribe C pr. m. E pr. m. GH. scribe or maister of lawe A.] , he shal putte vp on his wrshipe. [verse 6] Of alle the wrong of thi neȝhe|bore haue thou not mynde; and no thing do thou in the werkes of wrong. [verse 7] Hate|ful biforn God and men is pride; and cursful alle wickidnessis [the wickidnes A. wicke|nesse E. wickidnes GH.] of Jentiles. [verse 8] Rewme [A rewme A.] fro folc in to folc is born ouer, for vnriȝtwisnesses, and wrongus, and striues, and dyuers treccheries. [verse 9] Forsothe than the auerous man no thing is [Om.
