That woneth in the helpe of the heiȝest; in the defending of God of heuene shal al abide. [verse 2] He shal sei to the Lord, Myn vn|dertakere art thou, and my refut; my God, I shal hope in to hym. [verse 3] For he de|liuerede me fro the grene of hunteres; and fro the sharpe woord. [verse 4] With his shul|dris he shal al aboute shadewe to thee; and under his pennys thou shalt hopen. drede. [verse 6] Fro the arwe fleende in dai [the dai AH.] , fro the nede goende in dercnessis thurȝ; fro the inrennyng, and the [Om. A.] myddai deuel. [verse 7] Ther shul falle fro thi side a thousend, and ten thousend [thousandis A.] fro thi riȝt sidis; to thee forsothe he shal not neȝhe. [verse 8] Neuer|thelatere with thin eȝen thou shalt be|holde; and the ȝelding of synnes thou shalt see. [verse 9] For thou art [Om. AH.] , Lord, myn hope; heȝest thou hast put thi [my A.] refut. [verse 10] Ther shal not come to thee euel; and scourge shal not neȝhe [neiȝe to A.] to thi tabernacle. [verse 11] For to his aungelis he comaundide of thee; that thei shulden kepen thee in alle thi weies. [verse 12] In hondis thei shul bern thee; lest parauenture thou offende at the ston thi foot. [verse 13] Vp on the eddere and the koka|trice thou shalt go; and thou shalt to|trede the leoun and the dragoun. [verse 14] For in me he hopide, I shal delyueren hym; I shal defende hym, for he knewȝ my name. [verse 15] He criede to me, and I ful out shal heren hym [Om. C.] , with hym I am in tri|bulacioun; I [and A.] shal taken hym out, and glorifien hym. [verse 16] In lengthe of daȝis I shal fulfillen hym; and shewen to hym myn helthe ȝyuere.
