Hou good the God of Irael; to hem that ben in [of A.] riȝt herte. [verse 2] My feet for|sothe ben almost moued; almost ben held doun [out A.] my goingis. [verse 3] For I enuyede vp on wicke men; seande the pes of synneres. [verse 4] For ther is not respit to the deth of hem; and fastnyng in the wounde of hem. [verse 5] In the trauaile of men thei ben not; and with men thei shul not be scourgid. [verse 6] Therfore heeld hem pride; thei ben co|uered with wickidnesse, and with ther vnpitousnesse. [verse 7] Wente forth as of talȝ the wickidnesse of hem; thei ouerpassiden in to lust of herte. [verse 8] Thei thoȝten and speeke shreudenesse; wickidnesse in heiȝte they speeken. [verse 9] Thei putten [puttiden AH.] in to heuene ther mouth; and the tunge of hem wente in [in to A.] the erthe. [verse 10] Therfore shal ben conuertid my puple heer; and fulle daȝis shul be founden in hem. [verse 11] And thei seiden, Hou wot God; and whether is ther kunyng in heiȝte? [verse 12] Lo! tho synneres, and [in A.] abun|dende in the world; weldeden richessis. [verse 13] And I seide, Thanne with oute cause I iustefiede myn herte; and wesh among in|nocentis myn hondis. [verse 14] And I was scourgid al dai; and my chastising in the moru|tidis.
