PSALM LIII.*. [In to the ende in ditees or ympnes, in the titlis, or vnderstonding of Dauid,whan ther hadden come Zifei to Saul, and hadden told to Saul, Whethir is not Dauyd hyd anentis vs?]

[verse 3] God, in thi name mac me saaf; and in thi vertue deme me. [verse 4] God, ful out here thou*. [Om. A.] myn orisoun; with eris perceyue the woordis of my mouth. [verse 5] For alienes inwardli risen aȝen me, and stronge men soȝten my soule; and thei purposide not God befor ther siȝte. [verse 6] Lo! forsothe God helpeth me; and the Lord is vndertakere of my soule. [verse 7] Turne awei euelis to myn enemys; and in thi treuthe scatere them. [verse 8] Wilfulli I shal sacrifice*. [sacrifie A.] to thee; and I shal knoulechen to thi name, Lord, for it is good. [verse 9] For fro alle tribulacioun thou hast deliuered me; and vpon myn ene|mys beheeld doun myn eȝe.
