[verse 3] God, in thi name mac me saaf; and in thi vertue deme me. [verse 4] God, ful out here thou*. [Om. A.] myn orisoun; with eris perceyue the woordis of my mouth. [verse 5] For alienes inwardli risen aȝen me, and stronge men soȝten my soule; and thei purposide not God befor ther siȝte. [verse 6] Lo! forsothe God helpeth me; and the Lord is vndertakere of my soule. [verse 7] Turne awei euelis to myn enemys; and in thi treuthe scatere them. [verse 8] Wilfulli I shal sacrifice*. [sacrifie A.] to thee; and I shal knoulechen to thi name, Lord, for it is good. [verse 9] For fro alle tribulacioun thou hast deliuered me; and vpon myn ene|mys beheeld doun myn eȝe.
