[verse 3] What gloriest thou in malice; that myȝti art in wickidnesse? [verse 4] Al dai vnriȝt|wisnesse thoȝte thi tunge; as a sharp rasour thou didist treccherie. [verse 5] Thou loouedist malice ouer benygnete; wickid|nesse mor than to speke equite. [verse 6] Thou loouedest alle the woordis of kasting doun; in a treccherous tunge. [verse 7] Therfore God shal destroȝe thee in to the ende, he shal

pulle thee out, and myne thee out fro thi tabernacle; and thi roote fro the lond of liueres. [verse 8] Riȝtwis shul seen, and dreden; and vp on hym thei shul laȝen, and [verse 9] seyn, Lo! the man that putte not God his helpere. But hopide [he hopide AEH.] in the mul|titude of his richessis; and hadde the maistri in his vanyte. [verse 10] I forsothe as an olive berende frut in the hous of God; hopide in the merci of God in to with|oute ende, and in to world [the world A.] of world. [verse 11] I shal knouleche to thee in to the world, for thou hast don; and I shal abide thi name, for it is good in the siȝte of thi seyntys.
