[verse 3] Haue mercy of me, God; after thi grete mercy. And after the multitude of thi grete mercy doingus; do awey my wickid|nesse. [verse 4] More ouer wash me fro wicke|nesse [wickidnes AEH.] myn; and fro my synne clense me. [verse 5] For my wickidnesse I knowe; and my synne aȝen me is euermor. [verse 6] To thee alone I synnede, and euel befor thee I dide; that thou be iustefied in thi woordis, and ouercome whan thou art demed. [verse 7] Lo! forsothe in wickidnessis [wickidnes A.] I am conceyued; and in synnes conceyuede me my moder. [verse 8] Lo! forsothe treuthe thou loouedist; vn|certeyne and hidde thingis of thi wis|dam thou madist open to me. [verse 9] Thou shal sprenge me, Lord [Om. C.] , with isope, and I shal ben clensid; thou shalt washe me, and aboue snowȝ I shal be maad al whit. [verse 10] To myn heering thou shalt ȝiue ioȝe and glad|nesse; and ful out shul ioȝe bones mekid.

[verse 11] Turne awey thi face fro my synnes; and alle my wickidnesses do awei. [verse 12] A clene herte forme in me, God; and a riȝt spirit inwardli newe thou in my bowelis. [verse 13] Ne throwe thou me aferr fro thi face; and thin holy spirit ne do thou awei fro me. [verse 14] Ȝeld to me the gladnesse of thin helthe ȝiuere; and with the spirit principal con|ferme thou me. [verse 15] I shal techen wicke [wickid AH.] men thi weyes; and vnpitous men to thee shul ben al turned. [verse 16] Deliuere me fro blodis [blood A.] , God, God of [Om. A.] myn helthe; and ful out ioȝende shal my tunge telle thi riȝtwis|nesse. [verse 17] Lord, my lippis thou shalt opene; and my mouth shal beforn telle thi preis|ing. [verse 18] For if thou haddest wold sacrifise, I shulde han ȝiuen; but forsothe in [and A. Om. C.] brent sacrifises [sacrifise ACH.] thou woldest [shalt AEH.] not deliten. [verse 19] Sa|crifise to God, a spiritt holly trublid; a contrit herte and mekid, God, thou shalt not despise. [verse 20] Benygnely do, Lord, in thi goode wil to Sion; that ful out be bild the wallis of Jerusalem. [verse 21] Thanne thou shalt taken at worth sacrifise of riȝt|wisnesse, offringus, and brent sacrifises; thanne thei shul putten in vp on thin auter calues.
