PSALM XXXIII. [ [verse 1] The salm of Dauid, whan he chaungide his chere beforn Abymalech, and he lafte hym, and he ȝide awey.]

[verse 2] I shal blisse the Lord in alle time; euermor his preising in my mouth. [verse 3] In the Lord shal ben preisid my soule; here the debonere, and glad thei. [verse 4] Magnefieth the Lord with me; and enhaunce wee his name in to itself. [verse 5] I soȝte out the Lord, and he ful out herde me; and of alle my tribulaciouns he caȝte me out. [verse 6] Neȝheth to hym, and beth liȝtid; and ȝoure facis shul not be confoundid. [verse 7] This pore man criede, and the Lord ful out herde hym; and of alle his tribulaciouns sauede hym. [verse 8] The aungil of the Lord sendith in; in the enuyroun of men dredende hym, and he shal deliuere them. [verse 9] Tastith, and seeth, for sweete is the Lord; blisful the man, that hopith in hym. [verse 10] Dredeth the Lord,

alle ȝee seyntis [the seyntis E pr. m.] of hym; for ther is not scarsnesse to the [Om. AEH.] men dredende hym. [verse 11] Riche men nededen, and hungriden; for|sothe the inwardli sechende the Lord shul not be mynusht alle goode. [verse 12] Cometh, sonys, hereth me; the drede of the Lord I shal techen ȝou. [verse 13] Who is the man that wil lif; looueth to seen goode daȝis? [verse 14] For|fende thi tunge fro euel; and thi lippis that thei speke not treccherie. [verse 15] Turne awei fro euel, and do good; inwardlyche seek pes, and pursue it. [verse 16] The eȝen of the Lord vp on the [Om. A.] riȝtwise; and the eris of hym at `the preȝeeris of hem [her preyers AEH.] . [verse 17] The chere forsothe of the Lord vp on men doende euelis; that he lese fro the erthe the me|morie of hem. [verse 18] The riȝtwise crieden, and the Lord ful out herde hem; and fro alle ther tribulaciouns he [Om. AE.] deliuered hem. [verse 19] Neȝh is the Lord to hem that ben with trublid herte; and the meke in spirit he shal sauen. [verse 20] Manye tribulaciouns of the riȝtwise; and of alle these shal delyuere them the Lord. [verse 21] The Lord kepeth alle the bones of hem; oon of hem shal not be to-brosid. [verse 22] The deth of synneres the werste; and thei that hateden the riȝt|wise shul gilten. [verse 23] The Lord shal aȝeen bie the soulis of his seruauns; and ther shul not gilten alle, that hopen in hym.
