PSALM XXIX. [ [verse 1] The salm of the song, in the dedicacioun of the hous of Dauyd.]
[verse 2] I shal enhaunce thee, Lord, for thou vndertoke me; and thou hast not delitid myn enemys vpon me. [verse 3] Lord, my God, I criede to thee; and thou hast helid me. [verse 4] Lord, thou broȝtist out of helle my soule; thou sauedist me fro men fallende doun in to the lake. [verse 5] Doth salmus to the Lord, ȝee halewis of hym; and knoulecheth to the mynde of his holynesse. [verse 6] For ire in the indignacioun of hym; and lif in his wil. At the euetid longe shal abide weping; and at the morutid glading. [verse 7] I forsothe seide in myn abundaunce; I shal not be moued in to with oute ende. [verse 8] Lord, in thi wil; thou ȝeue to my fairnesse ver|tue. Thou turnedist awei thi face fro me; and I am maad disturbid. [verse 9] To thee, Lord, I shal crie; and to my God I shal lowly preȝe. [verse 10] What profit in my blod; whil I go doun in to corupcioun? Whethir pouder shal knouleche to thee; or tellen out thi treuthe? [verse 11] The Lord herde, and rewede of me; the Lord maad is myn helpere. [verse 12] Thou turnedist my weiling in to ioȝe to me; thou to-heewe [to-hewedist AEH.] my sac, and enuiroundest me with gladnesse. [verse 13] That to thee singe my glorie, and I shal not be pungid [to-pungid AEH.] ; Lord my God, in to withouten ende I shal knouleche to thee.
