PSALM XX. [ [verse 1] In to the ende, the salm of Dauid.]
[verse 2] Lord, in thi vertue shal the king gladen; and vpon thin helthe ȝiuere ful out ioȝen hugely. [verse 3] The desyr of his herte thou ȝeue to hym; and in the wil of his lippis thou begilidest not hym. [verse 4] For thou wentist beforn him in blessingus of swet|nesse; thou puttist in his hed a crowne of precious ston. [verse 5] Lyf he askide of thee, and thou ȝeue to hym; lengthe of daȝis in to the world, and into the world of world. [verse 6] Gret is his glorie in thin helthe giuere; glorie and gret fairnesse thou shalt ful [Om. A.] putte vp on hym. [verse 7] For thou shalt ȝiuen hym in to blessing in to world of world; thou shalt gladen hym in ioȝe with thi chere. [verse 8] For the king hopith in the Lord; and in the mercy of the heȝest he shal not be moued. [verse 9] Be founde thin hond to alle thin enemys; thi riȝthond finde alle that thee hatiden. [verse 10] Thou shalt putte them as a [Om. A.] furneis of fyr in the time of thi chere; the Lord in his wrathe shal desturbe them, and fyr shal deuoure them. [verse 11] The frute of hem fro the erthe thou shalt leese; and the sed of hem fro the sones of men. [verse 12] For thei bowede [boowe E.] doun in to thee [the H.] euelis; thei thoȝten counseilis, that thei myȝten not stablen. [verse 13] For thou shalt putte them abac; in thi relikis thou shalt make beforn redi the chere of hem. [verse 14] Be thou enhauncid, Lord, in thi vertue; wee shul synge, `and with salm seyn [and gladen out E pr. m.] thi vertues.
