[verse 1] Hennus [Henne Kbc. Hen eh.] forward [forthward c.] , my britheren, haue ȝe ioye in the Lord. To write to ȝou the same thingis, to me it is not slow, and to ȝou it is necessarie. [verse 2] Se ȝe houndis, se ȝe yuele werk men, se ȝe dyuysioun. [verse 3] For we ben circumcisioun, which bi spirit seruen to God, and glo|rien in Crist Jhesu, and han not trist in [verse 4] the fleisch, thouȝ Y haue trust, ȝhe, in the fleisch. If ony othere man is seyn [yseyn a.] [verse 5] to triste in the [Om. EIKQbceghkoαβ.] fleisch, Y more, that was circumcidid in the eiȝtthe dai, of the kyn [kynde k.] of Israel, of the lynage of Benia|myn, an Ebrew of Ebrewis, bi the lawe [verse 6] a Farisee, bi loue pursuynge the chirche of God, bi riȝtwisnesse that is in the lawe lyuynge with out playnt. [verse 7] But whiche thingis weren to me wynnyngis, Y haue demed these apeyryngis [as peiringis C pr. m. ac.] for Crist. [verse 8] Netheles Y gesse alle thingis to be peirement [apeirement k.] for the cleer science [conscience k pr. m.] of Jhesu Crist my Lord. For whom Y made alle thingis peyrement, and Y deme as [verse 9] drit, that Y wynne Crist, and that Y be foundun in hym, not hauynge my riȝt|wisnesse that is of the lawe, but that that is of the feith of Crist Jhesu, that [verse 10] is of God the riȝtwisnesse in feith, to knowe hym, and the vertu of his risyng aȝen, and the felouschipe of his passioun, [verse 11] and be [to be CEIMQUac sec. m. e sec. m. ghkoβ.] maad lijk to his deeth, if on ony maner Y come to the resurreccioun that is fro deth. [verse 12] Not that now Y haue takun, or now am [I am gk.] parfit; but Y sue, if in ony maner Y comprehende, in which thing [Om. k pr. m.] also Y am comprehendid of Crist Jhesu. [verse 13] Bretheren, Y deme me [Om. k pr. m.] not that Y haue [am b.] comprehendid; but o thing,
