PSALM XXV. [ [verse 1] The title of the [Om. CFGHQU.] fyue and twentithe salm. `To Dauid [Om. K.] [A glos. The XXV. salm schal be expowned of the staat of Dauid, whanne after the deth of Saul he en|tride in to the rewme, bi Goddis answer, and dwellide in Ebron, with men cleuynge to hym. A et alii.] .]

Lord [God A.] , deme thou me, for Y entride in myn innocens; and Y hopynge in the Lord schal not be made vnstidfast. [verse 2] Lord, preue thou me, and asaie me; brenne thou my reynes, and myn herte. [verse 3] For whi thi merci is bifor myn iȝen; and Y pleside in thi treuthe. [verse 4] I sat not with the counsel of vanyte; and Y schal not entre with men doynge wickid thingis. [verse 5] I hatide the chirche of yuele men; and Y schal not sitte with wickid men. [verse 6] I schal waische myn hondis among innocentis; and, Lord, Y schal cumpasse thin auter. [verse 7] That Y here the vois of heriyng; and that Y telle out alle thi merueils. [verse 8] Lord, Y haue loued the fairnesse of thin hows [hous, that is, cristen mannes soule K.] ; and the place of the dwellyng of thi glorie. [verse 9] God, leese thou not my soule with vnfeithful men; and my lijf with men of bloodis. [verse 10] In whose hondis wyckidnessis ben; the riȝthond of hem is fillid [fullid S.] with ȝiftis. [verse 11] But Y entride in myn innocens; aȝenbie thou me, and haue merci on me. [verse 12] Mi foot [foot, that is, affection KPRSVi. foot, that is, affecciouns OQU.] stood in riȝtfulnesse; Lord, Y schal blesse thee in chirchis.
