The vnwise man seide in his herte, God is not. Thei ben corrupt, and [and thei I.] ben maad abhomynable in her studies; noon is [ther is I.] that doith good, noon is til to oon. Whos mouth is ful of cursyng and [and of I.] bittirnesse; her feet ben swift to schede out blood. Sorewe and cursidnesse is in the weies of hem, and thei knewen not the weie of pees; the drede of God is not bifor her iȝen. [verse 4] Whether alle men that worchen wickid|nesse schulen not knowe; that [whiche I.] deuowren my puple, as mete of breed? [verse 5] Thei cle|peden [in clepeden A sec. m. clepen O.] not the Lord; thei trembliden there [verse 6] for dreed, where was no drede; for the Lord is in a riȝtful generacioun. Thou hast schent [confoundid I.] the counsel of a [the I.] pore man; for the Lord is his hope. [verse 7] Who schal ȝyue fro Syon helthe to Israel? Whanne the Lord hath turned awei the caitifte of his puple; Jacob schal `fulli be ioiful [ful out ioye I. fulli ioie K.] , and Israel schal be glad.
