In alle these thingis Joob synnede not in hise lippis. [verse 11] Therfor [And thanne I.] thre [then the S.] frendis of Joob herden al the yuel, that hadde bifelde [bifalle IS.] to hym, and camen [thei camen to him I.] ech man [of hem I.] fro his place, Eliphath Temanytes, and Baldach Suythes, and Sophar Naamathites; for [sothely I.] thei `hadden seide [seiden I.] togidere to hem silf, that thei wolden come togidere, and visite
hym [Job I.] , and coumforte [coumforte him I.] . [verse 12] And whanne thei [thei afer I.] hadden reisid [reisid up I.] afer [Om. I. afore S.] `her iȝen [hem ȝet S.] , thei knewen [knowen A.] not hym [Job I.] ; and thei [thanne thei I.] crieden, and wepten, and [and thei I.] to-renten her clothis, and [and thei I.] spreynten dust on [upon I.] her heed [heedis I.] `in to [biholdynge in to I.] heuene [heuenward I.] . [verse 13] And thei saten with hym [Job I.] in [upon I.] the erthe seuene daies and seuene nyȝtis, and no man spak a word to hym; for [forsothe I.] thei sien, that his sorewe was greet.
