[verse 1] Forsothe [And IS.] aftir that thei hadden soupid, thei brouȝten in [Om. IS.] the ȝong man to [Tobie in to IS.] hir. [verse 2] Therfor [And I. And thanne S.] Tobie [he g.] bithouȝte [bithouȝte him IS.] of [Om. g.] the wordis of the aungel, and `brouȝte forth [he drewe out IS.] of his scrippe a part of the mawe [mawe of the fische IS.] , and puttide [he puttide IS.] it on [upon IS.] quike [the quyke g.] coolis. [verse 3] Thanne [And than S.] Raphael, the aungel, took the fend, and boond [he aȝen boond IS.] hym [hym faste IS.] in the [Om. SX.] desert of hiȝere Egipte. [verse 4] Thanne [And than S.] Tobie monestide [warnyde I. amonestide S.] the virgyn, and seide [he seide I.] to hir, Sare, rise vp, and preye we God to dai, and to morewe, and `the secounde [aftir to I.] morewe; for in these thre nyȝtis we ben ioyned [ioyned togidre S.] [ioyned; that is, owen to be ioyned to God bi deuocioun and preyer, bifor that we go to the dede of matrimonye. [verse 6] Sotheli thei ris|iden [resen EL. resen up I. riseden vp S.] togidere, and bothe [thei bothe IS.] preyeden togi|dere bisili, that helthe [helthe of body and of soule S.] schulde be ȝouun to hem. [verse 7] And Tobie seide, Lord God of oure fadris, heuenes, and londis [erthes I. alle londis S.] , and the see, and wellis, and floodis, and ech crea|ture of thin, which [that IS.] is in tho, blesse thee [it to thee I. to thee S.] ; [verse 8] thou madist Adam of the sliym of erthe, and ȝauest [thou ȝauest IS.] to hym an help, Eue. [verse 9] And now, Lord, thou woost, that Y take my sistir [sistir to wijf IS.] not for cause of letcherie, but for loue aloone of eeris [getyng of children IS.] , in [into X.] whiche [the whiche children getyng IS.] thi name be blessid in to worldis [world CFHMQUVWXbfgh. the world EILOPRa. the worldis S.] of worldis.
