[verse 21] And `Y prechide [Om. INS.] there fastyng [Om. INS.] bisidis the flood of Hanna [Hanna I prechide or comaundide fastyng IS. I prechide fasting N.] , that we schulden be [be so I. in doyng penaunce be S.] tur|mentid bifor `oure Lord God [the Lord oure God INS.] , and that we schulden axe of him the riȝtful [riȝt INS.] weie to vs, and to oure sones, and to al oure catel [substaunce INS.] . [verse 23] Forsothe [And INS.] we fastiden, and preieden oure God for this thing, and it bifelde to vs `bi pros|perite [welsumly INS.] . [verse 24] And `Y departide [we departiden S.] twelue of the princes of prestis, Sarabie [that is, Sarabie IS.] , and Asabie, [verse 25] and ten of her britheren with hem; and Y bitook vndur certeyn weiȝte and noum|bre to hem the siluer and gold, and the halewid vessels of the hows of oure God, whiche the kyng hadde offrid, and hise counseleris, and hise princes, and `al Is|rael, of hem that weren foundun [alle the men that weren founden of Israel IN.] . [verse 26] And Y bitook vndur certeyn weiȝte and noum|bre in [into S.] the hondis of hem sixe hundrid and fifti talentis of siluer, and an hun|drid siluerne vessels; an hundrid talentis [verse 27] of gold, and twenti goldun cuppis, that [the whiche I. whiche NS.] hadden [hadden in weiȝt IS.] a thousynde peesis of gold; and twei [I bitoke hem two I. I toke to hem two S.] faire vessels of best [ful good I] bras, schyn|ynge as gold. [verse 28] And Y seide to hem, Ȝe ben the hooli men of the Lord, and [and therfor IS.] wake [verse 29] ȝe, and kepe [kepeth INS.] the hooli vessels, and [of AGS.] siluer [the siluer IN.] and gold [of gold S.] , which [that I.] is offrid bi fre wille to

[verse 30] Sotheli [And INS.] the preestis and dekenes token the weiȝte of siluer, and of gold, and of vessels, for to bere [bere hem IS.] in to Jerusa|lem, in to the hows of oure God. [verse 31] Therfor [Thanne INS.] we mouyden [remoueden INS.] forth fro the flood of Hanna, in the tweluethe dai of the firste monethe, for to go in to Jerusalem; and the hond [hond or grace S.] of oure God was on [upon INS.] vs, and delyuerde vs fro the hond of enemye [oure enemy NS.] and of aspiere [the aspiere INS.] in the weie. [verse 32] And we camen to Jerusalem, and we dwelliden there thre daies. [verse 33] For|sothe [And INS.] in the fourthe dai [dai in the hous of oure God INS.] the siluer was ȝoldun [ȝoldun up INS.] vndur certeyn weiȝte and noum|bre, and the gold, and the [Om. [verse 35] But also the sones of transmygracioun, that camen fro caitifte, offriden brent sacrifices [sacrifice IN.] to the Lord God of Israel, `twelue calues [Om. INS.] for al the puple of Israel [Israel weren offrid twelue calues IS. [verse 36] Forsothe [And INS.] thei ȝauen the comaundementis [heestis INS.] of the kyng to the princes [wise men INS.] , that weren of [in S.] the siȝt of the king, and to the [Om. INS.] duykis [duykis that weren S.] biȝende [of biȝende INS.] the flood; and [and into heriyng of God IS.] thei reisiden [reisiden up IN.] the puple, and the hows of God.
