[verse 1] Thanne [Whanne A.] kyng Darius comaundide, and thei rekenyden [rekenyden or souȝten INS.] in the biblet of bokis, that [whiche bokis INS.] weren kept in Babiloyne. [verse 3] In the first ȝeer of kyng Cirus, Cirus the kyng demyde [demede or ordeyned S.] , that, `Goddis hows [the hous of God INS.] , which [that INS.] is in Jerusalem, schulde be bildid in the place where thei offren sacrifices, and that thei sette foun|dementis [foundement EL.] supportynge [beringe up I. up beringe NS.] the heiȝthe [heiȝthe of the werk I. heiȝthe of werk NS.] of sixti cubitis, and the lengthe of sixti cu|bitis, [verse 4] thre [and sette thei thre INS.] ordris of stonys vnpolischid, and so ordris [the ordris INS.] of newe trees. Sotheli [And INS.] costis [costis herto IS.] schulen be ȝouun of the kyngis hows. [verse 5] But also the goldun and siluerne vessels of Goddis temple, whiche Nabugo|donosor took fro the temple of Jerusalem, and brouȝte tho [hem INS.] in [Om. IS.] to Babiloyne, be [be thei INS.] ȝoldun, and borun aȝen in to the temple of Jerusalem, and in to her place, whiche [the whiche I.] also [vessels also INS.] be [be thei IN.] set in the temple of God. [verse 6] Now therfor Tathannai, duyk of the cuntrei which [that INS.] is biȝende the flood, and [of S.] Starbu|sannai, and ȝoure counseleris, Arphasacei, that [whiche NS.] ben byȝende the flood, departe ȝe [verse 7] fer fro hem [the Jewis INS.] ; and suffre ȝe, that thilke temple of God be maad of the duyk of Jewis, and of the eldre men of hem; and that thei bilde that hows of God in his place. [verse 8] But also it is comaundid of me, that that bihoueth to be maad of tho
