[verse 1] And Salomon bigan to bilde the hows of the Lord in Jerusalem, in the hil of Moria [Moria; that is, of siȝt. Lire here. [verse 3] And these weren the foun|dementis, whiche Salomon settide, that he schulde bilde the hous of God; sixti [six N.] cu|bitis of lengthe in the firste mesure [mesure ȝouen to him of his fader Dauith S.] [mesure; that is, in the mesure ȝouun of Da|uith to hym. CKLOPQb.] , twenti [and twenti INS.] cubitis of breede. [verse 4] Forsothe [And INS.] he bildide a porche bifor the frount, that was stretchid forth along bisidis the [or at the IS.] mesure of the breede of the hows, of twenti cu|bitis, sotheli [and INS.] the hiȝnesse was of an hun|drid and twenti cubitis; and he ouer|gilde [ouergildide S.] it with inne with clennest gold.

[verse 5] Also he hilide the gretter hows with tablis of beech, and he fastnede platis of gold of beste [the beste I.] colour al aboute [aboute it S.] ; and he grauyde therynne palmtrees, and as smale chaynes biclipynge hem silf togidere. [verse 6] And he arayede the pawment of the temple with most preciouse marble, in [and S.] myche fairenesse. [verse 7] Forsothe [And INS.] the gold was moost preued, of whose platis he hilide the hows, and the beemys therof, and the postis, and the wallis, and the doris; and he grauyde cherubyns [cherubyns, that is, aungels S.] in the wallis. [verse 8] Also he made [made ther S.] an hows to the holi of holi thingis, in lengthe bi the breede of the hows, of twenti cubitis, and the breed also [Om. I.] of twenti cu|bitis; and he hilide it with goldun platis, as with sixe hundrid talentis [talentis in valu S.] . [verse 9] But [And INS.] also he made goldun nailis, so that ech nail peiside fifti siclis; and he hilide the solers with gold. [verse 10] Also he made in the hows of the hooli of hooli thingis twei cherubyns bi the werk of an ymage makere, and hilide [he hilide IN.] hem with gold. [verse 11] The wyngis of cherubyns weren holdun forth bi twenti cubitis, so that o wynge hadde fyue cu|bitis, and touchide [it touchide INS.] the wal of the hows; and the tother wynge hadde fyue cubitis, and touchide [it touchide INS.] the wynge of the tother [oother IS.] cherub. [verse 12] In lijk maner the wynge [oo wyng I. to wyng NS.] of the tother [oother IS.] cherub hadde fyue cubitis, and touchide [it touchide INS.] the wal, and the tother [oother I.] wynge therof of [that was of NS.] fyue cubitis touchide the wynge of the tothir [oother IS.] cherub. [verse 13] Therfor the wyngis of euer eithir cherub weren spred abrood, and weren [thei weren INS.] holdun forth bi twenti cubitis; sotheli [and INS.] thilke cherubyns stoden on [upon IS.] the [Om. [verse 15] Also bifor the ȝate [ȝatis INS.] of the temple he made twei pilers, that [the whiche I. whiche NS.] hadden fyue and thretti [twenti X.] cubitis of heiȝthe; forsothe [and INS.]

the heedis of tho [tho pilers IS.] weren of fyue cubitis [cubitis in heiȝthe NS.] . [verse 16] Also he made and [Om. IS.] as [as it were I. as and S.] litle chaynes in Goddis answeryng place [answering place; that is, in the porche of Salomon, as doctouris seien here. Lire here. C.] , and puttide [he puttide INS.] tho [tho chaynes IS. hem N.] on [upon IS.] the heedis of the pilers; also he made an hundrid pumgarnadis, whiche [the whiche I.] he set|tide bitwixe the litle chaynes. [verse 17] And he settide tho pilers in the porche of the temple, oon at the riȝtside, and the tother [oother I.] at the leftside; he clepide that [that piler INS.] that was at the riȝtside Jachym [that is, a bifore ordeynyng I marg. Jachym, that is, a bifore ordeyner or before ordeynyng S text.] , and that that was at the leftside he [Salomon INS.] clepide Booz [Booz, that is, in whom is strengthe I.
