[verse 2] He bildide Hailath, and restoride it to the lordschipe of Juda, after that the [Om. INS.] kyng [kyng Amasie INS.] slepte with hise fadris. [verse 3] Ozie was of sixtene [fyftene N.] ȝeer, whanne he bi|gan to regne; and he regnede two and fifti ȝeer in Jerusalem; the [and the S.] name of his modir was Hiechelia, of Jerusalem. [verse 4] And he dide that [that thing INS.] , that was riȝtful in the siȝt of the Lord, bi alle thingis whiche Amasie, his fadir, hadde do. [verse 5] And he souȝte the Lord in the daies of Zacarie, vndurstond|ynge and seynge God; and whanne he souȝte God, God reulide hym in alle thingis. [verse 6] Forsothe [And INS.] he ȝede out, and fauȝt aȝens Filisteis, and distriede the wal of Geth [strength of Geth S.] , and the wal of Jabyne, and the wal of Azotus; and he bildide stronge places in Azotus and in Filistiym. [verse 7] And the Lord helpide hym bothe aȝens Filisteis, and aȝens [Om. S.] Arabeis that dwelliden in Gar|bahal, and [Om. S.] aȝenus Amonytis. [verse 8] Amonytis paieden ȝiftis to Ozie, and his name was pupplischid `til to [vnto INS. to X.] the entryng of Egipt for ofte [hise ofte IS.] victories. [verse 9] And Ozie bildide touris [ȝatis S.] in Jerusalem ouer the ȝate of the corner, and ouer the ȝate of the valey, and [and he made NS.] othere [mo othere I.] touris [Om. I.] in the same side of the wal; and made [he made INS.] tho stidefast [stidfast or strong S.] . [verse 10] Also he bildide touris in the [Om. INS.] wildirnesse, and he [Om. N.] diggide ful many cisternes; for he hadde many [ful many INS.] beestis as wel in the [Om. INSX.] feeldi places as in the [Om. CS.] wast|nesse of deseert. Also he hadde vyneris and tiliers of vynes in the [Om. INS.] hilles, and in

[verse 11] Forsothe [And IN.] the oost of hise werriours, that ȝeden forth to batels, vndur the hond of Heiel, scribe, and of Masie, techere [the techere INS.] , and vndur the hond of Ananye that was of [souereyn of INS.] the [Om. INS.] duykis of the kyng; and al the noumbre of princes, by her meynees, was of stronge men two thousynde and sixe hundrid. [verse 13] And vndur hem was al the oost, thre [that is, thre IS.] hundrid thousynde and seuen thousynde and fyue hundrid, that [the whiche I. whiche NS.] weren able [able men INS.] to batel, and fouȝten [these fouȝten IS.] for the king aȝens aduersaries [hise aduersaries IS.] . [verse 14] And Ozie made redi to hem, that is, to al the oost, scheldis, and speris, and basynetis, and haburiouns, and bouwis, and slyngis to caste stonys. [verse 15] And he made in Jerusalem engynes of dy|uerse kynde, which he settide [sette INS.] in touris, and in the [Om. A.] corneris of wallis, that tho schulden caste [caste out INS.] arowis and grete stoonys; and his name ȝede out fer, for the Lord helpide hym, and hadde maad him strong. [verse 16] But whanne he was maad strong, his herte was reisid [reisid up INS.] in to his perischyng; and he [Om. S.] dispiside `his Lord God [the Lord his God INS.] ; and he entride in to the temple of the Lord, and wolde brenne encense on [upon IS.] the auter of encense. [verse 17] And anoon Azarie, the preest, entride after hym, and with hym the [sixty INS.] preestis of the [verse 18] Lord, seuenti [Om. INS.] `men ful noble [of ful noble men S.] ; whiche [the whiche I.] aȝenstoden the kyng, and seiden [seiden to him S.] , Ozie, it is not of thin office, that thou brenne en|cense to the Lord, but [but it is I. but this office is S.] of the [Om. Forsothe [And INS.] Joathan, his sone, gouernyde the hows [house or meyne S.] of the kyng, and demyde [he demyde INS.] the puple of the lond. [verse 22] Sotheli [And INS.] Ysaie, the prophete, the sone of Amos, wroot the residue [remenaunt IW. Om. S.] `of the [Om. S.] formere and of [Om. S.] the laste wordis of Ozie. [verse 23] And Ozie slepte with hise fadris, and thei birieden not hym in the feeld of the kyngis sepulcris, for he was leprouse; and Joathan, his sone, regnyde for hym.
