[verse 1] THERFOR Salomon, the sone of Dauid, was coumfortid in his rewme, and the Lord was with hym, and magnefiede hym an hiȝ. [verse 2] And Salomon comaundide to al Israel, to tribunes, and centuriouns, and to duykis, and domesmen [to domis men S.] of al Israel, [verse 3] and to the princes of meynees; and he [Salomon INS.] ȝede with al the multitude in to the hiȝ place of Gabaon, where the tabernacle of boond of pees of the Lord was, which [the which I.] tabernacle [Om. I.] Moyses, the seruaunt of the Lord, made in wildirnesse. [verse 4] Forsothe [And INS.] Dauid hadde brouȝt the arke of God fro Cariathiarym in to the place which he hadde [Om. X.] maad redy [Om. A.] to it, and where he hadde set a tabernacle to it, that is, in to [Om. CEILNS.] Jerusalem. [verse 9] Now therfor, Lord God, thi word be fillid [fulfillid INS.] , which thou bi|hiȝtist to Dauid, my fadir; for thou hast maad me kyng on [upon IS.] thi greet puple, which [the which I.] is so vnnoumbrable as the dust of erthe. [verse 10] Ȝiue thou to me wisdom and vndurstond|yng, that Y go in and go out bifor thi puple; for who may deme worthili this thi puple, which is so greet? [verse 11] Sotheli [And INS.] God seide to Salomon, For [For thi that IS. For that N.] this thing pleside more thin herte, and thou axidist not richessis, and catel, and glorie, nether the lyues of them that hatiden [haten S.] thee, but nether ful many daies of lijf [thi lijf INS.] ; but thou axidist [hast axid INS.] wisdom and kunnyng, that thou maist deme my puple, on [upon IS.] which Y or|deynede [haue ordeyned INS.] [verse 12] thee kyng, wisdom and kun|nyng ben [therfore ben IS.] ȝouun to thee; forsothe [and ouer this INS.] Y schal ȝyue to thee richessis, and catel, and glorie, so that noon among kyngis, nether bifor thee nethir [ne INS.] aftir thee, be lijk thee. [verse 13] Therfor [Thanne I.] Salomon cam fro the hiȝ place of Gabaon in to Jerusalem, bifor the taber|nacle of boond [the boond IN.] of pees, and he [Om. C.] regnede on [upon IS.] Israel. [verse 14] And he [Salomon INS.] gaderide [gaderide togidere INS.] to hym chaaris and knyȝtis, and a thousynde and foure hundrid charis weren maad to hym, and twelue thousynde of [Om. S.] knyȝtis; and he made hem to be in the [Om. C.] citees of cartis, and with the kyng in Jerusalem. [verse 15] And the kyng ȝaf in Jerusalem gold and siluer as stoonys [stones in plentith S.] , and cedris [he ȝaue cedre trees S.] as sicomoris, that comen forth in feeldi places in greet mul|titude. [verse 16] Forsothe [And INS.] horsis weren brouȝt to
