[verse 1] Forsothe Azarie, the sone of Obeth, whanne the spirit of the Lord was comyn [verse 2] in to hym, ȝede [he ȝede S.] out [Om. X.] in to the metyng of Asa; and seide [he seide INS.] to hym, Asa and al Juda and Beniamyn, here ȝe me; the Lord is with ȝou, for ȝe weren with hym; if ȝe
seken hym, ȝe schulen fynde hym [Om. plures.] ; so|theli [and INS.] if ȝe forsaken hym, he schal forsake ȝou. [verse 3] Forsothe many daies schulen passe in Israel with outen veri God, and with|out preest, and without techere, and with|out lawe. [verse 4] And whanne thei [thei, that is, there foreseid lawe . . . . . S.] turnen aȝen in her angwisch, and crien to the Lord God of Israel, and seken hym, thei schulen fynde hym. [verse 5] In that tyme schal not be pees to go out and to go in, but dredis [dredis schul be IS. dredis be N.] on al [eche I.] side on [in EIKLNO. and in S.] alle the dwelleris of londis. [verse 6] For a [Om. INS.] folk schal fiȝte aȝens folk [a folk X sec. m.] , and a [Om. And he halewide the auter of the Lord, that was bifor the porche of the hows of the Lord. [verse 9] And he [the kyng INS.] gaderide togidere al Juda and Beniamyn, and with hem the comelyngis of Effraym, and of Manasses, and of Sy|meon; for manye [manye men INS.] of Israel, seynge that his [the NS.] Lord God was with hym [hym Asa S.] , fledden ouer to hym. [verse 10] And whanne thei [Asa and his oost N. his oost S.] hadden comun [comen aȝene S.] in to Jerusalem, in the thridde monethe, in the fiftenthe ȝeer of the rewme [verse 11] of Asa, thei [he and his peple S.] offriden `to the Lord [Om.
