[verse 3] And he [Dauid IS.] gaderide togidere al Israel in to Jerusalem, that the arke of God schulde be brouȝt in to `his place [the place of itIS] , which [the which I.] [verse 4] he hadde maad redy to it; also and he gaderide togidere the sones of Aaron, [verse 5] and the dekenes; of the sones of Caath Vriel was prince, and hise britheren two [verse 6] hundrid and twenti [twenti men S.] ; of the sones of Me|rari Asaya was prince, and hise britheren [verse 7] two hundrid and thritti; of the sones of Gerson the prince was Johel, and hise [verse 8] britheren an hundrid and thretti; of the sones of Elisaphan Semei was prynce, [verse 9] and hise britheren two hundrid; of the sones of Ebroun Heliel was prince, and [verse 10] hise britheren foure score; of the sones of Oziel Amynadab was prince, and hise britheren an hundrid and twelue. [verse 11] And Dauid clepide Sadoch and Abiathar preestis, and the [Om. S.] dekenes Vriel, Asaie [and Asaie IS.] , Johel [and Johel X.] , Semeie [and Semeie S.] , Eliel, and Amynadab; [verse 12] and seide [he seide IS.] to hem, Ȝe that ben princes of the meynees of Leuy, be [be ȝe IS.] halewid with ȝoure britheren, and brynge ȝe the arke of the Lord God of Israel to the place, which [that IS.] [verse 13] is maad redi to it; lest, as [Om. and dekenes weren halewid, that thei schulden bere the arke of the Lord God of Israel. [verse 15] And the sones of Leuy token the arke of God with barris on [upon IS.] her schuldris, as Moises comaundide bi the [Om. I.] word of the Lord. [verse 16] And Dauid seide to the princes [prince S.] of dekenes, that thei schulden ordeyne of her britheren syngeris in or|guns of musikis, that is, in giternes, and harpis, and symbalis; that the sown of gladnesse schulde sowne an hiȝ. [verse 17] And thei ordeyneden dekenes, Heman, the sone of Johel, and of hise britheren, Asaph, the sone of Barachie; sotheli of the sones of Merary, britheren of hem, thei ordeyneden [verse 18] Ethan, the sone of Casaye, and the bri|theren of hem with hem; in the secunde ordre `thei ordeyneden [Om. I.] Zacarie, and Ben, and Jazihel, and Semyramoth, and Jahiel, `and Am, Heliab [and Am, and Heliab EFLMSXb. and Aheliab K sec. m.] , and Benaye, and Maa|sie, and Mathathie, and Eliphalu, and Mathenye, and Obededon, and Jehiel, por|teris; [verse 19] forsothe [and IS.] `thei ordeyneden [Om. I.] the syngeris Eman, Asaph, and Ethan, sown|ynge [verse 20] in brasun cymbalis; sotheli [and IS.] Zaca|rie, and Oziel, and Semyramoth, and Ja|hihel, and Ham, and Eliab, and Maasie, and Banaie, sungun [these sungun S.] pryuetees [pryuyli D.] in gi|ternes; [verse 21] forsothe [and IS.] Mathathie, and Eliphalu, and Mathenye, and Obededom, and Je|hiel, and Ozazym, sungen in harpis for the eiȝtithe [that is, for Cristis risynge aȝen in the eiȝthe dai, that was figurid bi that song. [verse 25] Therfor Dauid, and [and alle BCW.] the [Om ELX.] grettere men in birthe

of Israel, and the tribunes, ȝeden to brynge the arke of boond of pees of the Lord fro the hows of Obededom with gladnesse. [verse 26] And whanne God hadde helpid the de|kenes that baren the arke of boond of pees of the Lord, seuene bolis and seuene rammes weren offrid. [verse 27] Forsothe [And IS.] Dauid was clothid with a white stole [A stole is an honest gar|ment. S.] , and alle the dekenes that baren the arke, and the syngeris, and Chononye, the [Om. IS.] prince of profecie [the profecie IS.] among syngeris, weren clothid in white stolis; forsothe [and I. Om. S. for X.] also Dauid was clothid with a lynun surplijs. [verse 28] And al Israel ledden forth the arke of boond of pees of the Lord, and sowneden [thei sowneden IS.] in ioiful song, and in sown of clariouns, and in trumpis, and cymbalis [in cym|balis IS.] , and giternis [in giternis I.] , and harpis. [verse 29] And whanne the arke of boond of pees of the Lord hadde come to [in to IS.] the citee of Dauid, Mychol, the douȝtir of Saul, bihelde forth bi a wyndowe, and sche [Om. A.] siȝ king Dauyd daunsynge and plei|ynge; and sche dispiside hym in hir herte.
