A charter couunant made was 193 Bytwene me ["me" repeated.] & sathanas All my catel to haue away 195 Þat he me reft with fals pray A-ȝeyn I come & made a fest A-mong þe most & þe lest Þen atte furst men knowe con me Þat I was man of gret powste 200 Þat fest lastyd XL dayes To do men knowe þe newe wes Þat fest was of Ioye & blysse Þat estyr day ȝet clepyd ys One endentur I left with þe 205 Þat euyr þu schalt sekyr be In prestys hand yn flesch & blode Þat for þe dyed o þe rode A bykeye I toke þe also Þe cros þat I was on do 210 To bere with þe where-so þou go Þen thar þe not drede þy fo 212
