Ellen Perry (1902-1981) was a resident of St. Louis, Michigan, who worked as a feature writer. Most of her articles on the past and present happenings in Gratiot County were printed in The Saginaw News. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, St. Louis. Copies of two of her books about St. Louis are housed in the Clarke: St. Louis, Michigan: the “Middle-of-the-Mitten City” (1976) and 100 years: St. Louis Centennial, 1853-1953 (1953), which she edited.
