Biography:

Nathan W. Merrill (d. 1892?) was the son of Mr. and Mrs. James Merrill. Nathan became the Superintendent of the Saginaw Valley and Saint Louis Railroad Company and of the Saginaw Division of the Detroit, Lansing, and Northern Railway. He was married to Nancy [surname unknown] and had several children including Stella and Lilla P. Merrill. (This information is from the collection.)
