Organizational History:

Central Michigan College, now Central Michigan University (CMU), offered assistance to teachers and school authorities statewide through correspondence courses offered by its Extension Department (CMC Bulletin, 1947). Later, correspondence and off-campus courses, a school bus drivers’ training program, speakers, television courses, and counselors were offered by its successor, the Division of Field Services, which was part of Public Services (CMU Bulletin, 1962-1963).
