3/4 lb Green Ozier 36 Bark 1/2 lb Sasafras Root 1/2 lb Tag alder bark 3/4 lb Princes
Pine boil for four hours strain Simmer to 2 quarts slow then add 1
1/2 lbs White Shugar [sic sugar] 1/2 pint gin
Dose one Table spoon full 3 times a day

Def. WRUD osier (ozier): A kind of willow (Salix viminalis) growing in wet places in
Europe and Asia, and introduced into North America. It is considered the best of the
willows for basket work. The name is sometimes given to any kind of willow.
