Wayland Nov 6th. 1854 Dear Friend I really know not what to make of Critchlow. The people and neighbors gave him a very high character for integrity, capability and thrift, and I cannot yet persuade myself that he means to be a rogue. Still it seems to be about time to take some decisive action. I wish, with the evidence before you, you would give us such advice as your trained sagacity and natural experience suggest. Then we shall be able to make up our minds with more confidence. Ever most Truly Yrs The enclosed letter is from the Post Master of Florence a very honest and respected man. D. L .Child P.S. Packages are to be left at T. Moore's Daily Express for Weston and Wayland; No. 7 Court Square. Boston. To be placed in the box not later than 3 P.M. I was so sorry to miss of dear Louisa; but I could not
