L[ydia] Maria Child ALS to Anna Loring, January 13, 1847
Lydia Maria Child Papers, 1831-1894 [Box 1, Folder 38]
by my beautiful young friend Rosa D'Wolf. I abound in jewel- -ry, now-a-days. Jeannie Barrett sent me a bracelet of her hair, with a rich clasp. Rosa sent me a brace- -let of her hair, clasped with blue enamel. Caroline Sturgis brought me a blue cameo pin. Mrs. Silsbee sent me a little mosaic pin from Rome, and a silver fillagree pin from Genoa. If I could only renew my youth, I might make a dash. I ran over to Williamsburg, on New Year's day, to se Friend Hopper's eldest daughter, and avoid calls. It was as bright and mild as June.
