The inevitable changes of life are enough, as we draw nearer to our Home - let not a friendship so cherished as ours, and hallowed by so many recollections, gradually pass off. into shadowy distance. You and Ellis are inexpressibly dear to me. Are you ceasing to care for me? How many times in a week my heart travels toward you with unutterable longings for one of our old-fashioned, cozy even- -ings!
