'Ah, thou speakest my language! I am Bosniak! ' He babbled of his fatherland, and examined the books. One was a French dictionary, the other an Italian work on Albania. He was troubled about them, especially the dictionary, put them down again, and I gave up all hope. To my surprise, just as I was mounting, he suddenly exclaimed: ' Here, lady I I give thee thy books because thou speakest my language! ' I shoved them into my holsters, unspeakably relieved, and in another twenty minutes drew rein at
