CALLOWAY~S ME TEDR RISEIN BUSINE FLINT, MICHIGAN Mr. Oscar Calloway~s rise to prominence in business in Flint, is the best argument we have to offer to the young Negro in Flint, that there is teeming opportunity right here for one, with industry, initiative or foresight.. ~Mr. Galloway came to Flint in 1935, just out of school and full of ambition and a desire to get ahead. He mar: ried Miss Leola Grier. Their union has ben blessed with two fine children, Beverly Jean and Robert Edward. Every step that Mr. Calloway has made has been a step forward. Olive Youth Choir with Mr. George Greer directing and Miss Emily Calloway accompanist; Miss Doretha and Cladell Ford, Mr. Wade Jones, basso; Miss Peggy Harris accordianist, Miss Rosa Bradley and Alice Wilson soloist, Master Harrison McGee pianist and Dolores McGee, dramatic: reader.
