Olive Winkie ~Avenue: Wr. and Mrs. Samuel Williams, -Sr. of Everett St. are the groomn~s parents. A white satin gown made princess style was chosen by the. bride. An off-shoulder. yoke of lace intermingled with sequins bordered the high. net neckline of the gown. Her very full skirt swept into a _ long train. Net and lace made up her fingertip veil of illusion; this being the ~something borrowed~, having been borrewed from her sister, Mrs. Robert Thorne. She carried a bouquet of tiny white rose buds centered by a lavender orchid. HAS SIX ATTENDANTS iMrs. Robert Thorne, of Ann matron of honor, wore peach off-shoulder net and taffeta in an old fashioned design. Mrs. Thorne~s bouquet was composed of asters, delphinium, and gladiolus. Miss Todd~s bridemaids were her sister, Julia, who wore lavender, Miss Peggy Verdun ~in light green, Miss Dorothy Williams, sister of the bridegroom, in a mellow-coloured gown, Miss Ceoria Wickware attired in pale yellow, and. Miss De blue. All of the bridesmaid~s gowns were fashioned and,made by Mrs. Beatrice Furgerson of Detroit. Each attendant wore a huge bow of ribbon which matched her dress in her hair and carried a bouquet of gladiolus, delphinium, and asters of a contrasting hue to her gown. Mr. Berlin Dobson, formerly of Harrisburg, Pa. assisted Mr. Williams as best man. Ushers were Sam Early, Willie J. Brody, George Wilkinson, Roosevelt Walker, and Jay Watkins. Children in the wedding were flower-girl Joycé. Elaine Todd; ring. bearer, Olin Meador, Jr.; and Lawanda Busby carried Miss Todd~s train. Mr. Rudolph Scott sang, ~I Love Thee, Dear~ preceding the ceremony and was, _accompanied at the piano by ~Grady Williams who playd for the entire ceremony. Bilbo. Although four Democrats and one lily-white,Republican have announced their candidacies, the. campaign fireworks are: conspicuously absent.
