Flint. The formal was attended by 1200 to 1500 people: from as far away.as New York City. The Elks Band under~- the direction of Eddie ~Woods played lovely danceable ~must to the enjoyment of the dancers, ~and they are to be lcomplimeénted for their efforts, which was very good indeed. ~ ~This ~year the- Community Aidettes will follow the Sportsmen~ Club in the promoticn of their Annual formal ~to be held this ~year at the beautiful Blaines Ballroom on the 6th of July, this promises to be a gala Taylor Jr., and aiso the Clarence Berry~s and family, Raymond Brackins and_ friends. They all report that they had a delightful time. ANOTHER DOCTOR ADDED TO THE TURPIN FAMILY Charles Turpin, son of Rev. and Mrs, Turpin of 1419. Clifford St., was among the 28 who received their degree as Doctors of Dentistry from the medical College of MeHarry Nashville, Tenn.
