While there che enjoyed many sight seeing trips to Santa Catalina Island, Tijuana, Mexico, and other beautiful spots. She was entertained with a formal reception by her niece, a dinner by Mrs. Mary Watkins, brunch by the Misses Bennett, a bridge luncheon by Mrs. Fields, and numerous other smaller parties and outing trips.. ASHMORE-STEWART WEDDING In a setting of autumn flowers, Miss Priscilla Ashmore became the bride of George Stewart on Sunday, Sept. 8 at 3 p.m. at the home of Mrs. Margaret Moore, 382 Hickory Street. The bride wore a soft suit of gold and beige with cherry-yoke accessories and carried a white Bible with a bouquet of gardenias. Her sister, Mrs. Lucille Martin, was matron of honor. She was given in marriage by her uncle, Mr. Edward Reed. Doyle Stewart, the groom's brother, was best man. The Rev. Franklin Jackson officiated. The home was artistically decorated with gladioli, palms and ferns. The three-tiered wedding cake was circled with green fern and white gladioli.
