Mrs. Reed had Mr. John Thomason, 1163 Charles, to take Mr. Reed over to his home to visit for a while~ and upon arriving back to the Reed~s address to find a surprise. Mr. Orestia Reed, Mr. Curtis Johnson, D. W. Gray, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Murray, Mr. Charles Jones, Mrs. Annie Mae Johnson, Mr. and Mrs: Tom Simpson, Mr. and Mrs. Leon Charleston, Mr. and-Mrs. Raymond Soney, Mrs. Verla Winglow, Mr. George Gray, Mr. and Mrs. McClure, Mr. Ed Godfrey and many others. This party was a complete surprise. Nice gifts were spread out in his honor. ~National Hospital Week, May 12-18 is for the American Youth to interest them in the never-ending work that youth can do ~ See next issue. Students of Sacred Heart School presented a ~Talent Show~ entitled ~Show Time on the Patio~ in honor of the Rev, Father George Zabelka. The program. began with an exciting unfoldment on the Patio. Sister Annunciata, Sister Mary Henrietta and others gave ~the show that needed professional lift. They are still talking about the 8 sisters, Brownies, ~Doggie in the Window~ ~True Lover~ so well done by Bill Luce, Mule Train, the Crittenden dancers, Shirley Johnson, Jackie Jones, Theresa Metcalf, Sacred Heart Band directed by Mr. Charles Evans, Boys and Girls Glee Club directed by Mr. Binelli, and Marlene McNamara, 4th place winner. * 2 Mr. and Mrs. D. K. Liddle and family motored to Toledo with Mr. and Mrs. D. Davis and family to be the house guest of Mr. and Mrs. John Thomas.
