ARBOR, Mich.~The Student Government Council of the University of Michigan has voted to withdraw recognition: from Sigma Kappa sorority. The vote to withdraw ~recognition was 11-5 with 1. abstention. The withdrawal will take effect on June 15, 1959, unless the group disaffiliates from the national body and becomes a ~local.~ The student goverhment~s action was based on a 1949 ruling not to! admit: groups to campus which practiced discrirmination.
