Panzers of Brookside Orive gave a farewell party for the Edward~s Tuesday night, August 12, follow ed by a pool-side party Wednesday afternoon for Ginger: at the lovely home of Helen Friley on McPhail. Summer showers didn~t discourage the girls from taking a dip in|, the inviting pool. Some of those present were Helen Loving, Virginia / Jordan, Louise Leach, ~Sandy Weiss, Lola Gibson and many others. ~ The Jugs Bridge Club gave a party for Ginger~: and Bud at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Connie Childress on Mc ' Phail Street Saturday night. j * * = Rev. and Mrs. Charles G. Pritchett of Evergreen Street left the city recently on an extended trip Souiu, accompanied by their niece, Mrs. William Fraction and her little daughter Karan Elizabeth. While away they will visit cities in Alabama, Georgia, Florida and Tennessee. They will also witness the graduation of their daughter, Mrs. Lois Pritchett Driskell, who will receive her Bachelor~s degree in Education from Tuskegee Institute. Mrs. Driskell graduated from Flint Central High School in 1952. __. ~Her husband, Mr. Lewis E. Driskell is an instructor in the printing division at, Tuskegee Institute. While in Montgomery, Alabama, the Pritchell~s will be the house guest of Mrs. Pritchell~s sister and brother-in-law, Dr. and Mrs. Leo M. Jackson. a See Rev. and Mrs. Thomas Courts entertained guests from Virginia recently. They were Mrs. Lucy E. Bannister, Mrs. Courts~ mother; Mrs. Mary L. Carter; Mrs. Fannie Drewery; Miss Gonie Brown; Mr. and Mrs. LeRoy Bannister and children and Mr. and Mrs. James Bannister and children.
