Dees, the Conference leading sharpshooter lead the Hoosiers in a 96-86 victory over Illinois in what will be the championship finale. The two cage power giants meet in East Lansing in a mati by pace setting his team with 33 points. This clinched the first place tie with the Spartans. Greene figured mightily in the 106-96 drubbing of Purdue by MSU last Saturday. Early in the fourth quarter Coach Joe Dowdy eciare sent in ~his reserves. Flint Northern, which had a chance for a-title tie if the Indians lost, was edged by Pontiac, 52-51, at. Pontiac. The loss dropped the Vikings (7-3) two games behind Flint Central. The ~combination of Saginaw High~s loss and Pontiac~s victory left ~the ~Trojans and the Chiefs tied for third place, each with 6-4 -league = records. In overall play, Saginaw High finished with a_ 9-6 ~season record.
