i By Al Gorner'| Mr. and Mrs. James Brown, 951% Stewart Ave., were surprised indeed with the addition of twin girls. to the Snes Linda, 5% Ibs., and Brenda, 4% Ibs., arrived Fricay, Sept. 27th, at Flint General Hospital. The Browns have three other children, 14 mo., 3 and 5 years of age. * x e Early fall not only bring the shedding of the leaves from the trees and changes in the weather, but also a new group of brides who have chosen setting for their marriage. Mr. and Mrs. Bennie Clark and Pi and Mrs. Willie B. Jones, Sr., announced the forthcoming marriage of their dauchter, Jessia Belle, and son, Willie B. Jones Jr., respect-- ively. The event will take place October 5, in the home of the parents of the groom. LOUBLE BIRTHDAY PARTY~Piepi Morgan and Willie Pigee were honored with a birthday) party given in their behalf. The party was held at the Royal Garden Club on St. John St. Saturday, September 21. Approximately 150 guests attended. Certainly this can be called the party of the month. In addition to the gayety, everyone enjoyed some mouth vatering baked ham, fried chicken, choice salads, cake and ics cream. Mr. Thomas Bert and Miss Amy Allen responded to the capacity crowd~s every need. Mrs. Mae Burford donated the birthday cake. Mafathan Club scored with areal gone party at the Til Morocco Hall on Tilden street over the week-end. The Lakeside Sportsmen Club as usual came up. with some real live entertainment for their many friends on Lomita street last Friday. * * * SURPRISE BIRTHDAY PARTY SEPTEMBER 20 - was given for Miss Lillie Herrington, the newly elected treasuret of the inter-club council. The party was given at the very handsome home of Mr. and Mrs, James Patten on Nevada St. ~Host for this lovely, affair was her very dear friend, Mr. Adell Henderson.
