birt oe Noble, Daughi ter Conclave To Detroit The 11th Imperial Shrine Conclave sponsored' by the Imperial Grand Council of the Ancient Arabic Order Nobles of the Mystic Shrine and the Supreme Grand Court, Daughters of Sphinx ended Sunday, August 11, at 3:30 p.m. The meeting was the greatest of its kind ever held in this State. the 1958 Biennial Session the biggest and the best Shrine Conclave ever to be held in this country. Daughter Willie Mae Johnson, Supreme |Grand Matron, and all Nobles and Daughters accepted the program and pledged their unanimous support in making _ ing True.~ it a success, The Imperial Grand Potentate also established a new Shrine Temple to be known as Zenith Temple No. 2, making a total of three Shrine TemPles in Detroit alone, They are Eureka Temple No, 1, Rami Temple No. 15, and Zenith Temple No. 2, There are also three Courts of Daughters of Sphinx in Detroit. The Shrine Ball was a great success. T. Bone Walker and his young son were good as usual. The couple was united in matrimony by~ Rev. James H. Crawley, Fort Wayne, Ind., a field worker of Indiana Missionary Baptist State Convention. He is an uncle of the bride. Miss Crawley was a lovely bride. She carried a nosegay of white carnations with her wedding gawn of white lace, and sheath with an empire waistline. The train, falling at the back, was of white taffeta. She wore matching mitts and a shell cap of pearls held her net veil. White leather pumps completed the bridal ensemble, Gloria Crawley, sister of the bride; was maid of honor and the bridesmaids were: Florence Rowlette and Clara Barnes of Detroit, Geraldine Allen, Carolyn Wright, Vivian Peters and Josephine Walker. The bridesmaids wore white lace over blue taffeta princess lined ballerina length identical gowns. They wore headdresses of white rosebuds and carried E. Harris and Ill.. Johnson Buchanan. Noble Emory J. Murdock and Daughter Lucille Franklin are chairman and- co-chairman of the Conclave. Committee. II. Johnson Buchanan, Imperial Grand Potentate, Dt.
