Adams, founder of The Musical Tent at Pine Run on U. S. 10 between Flint and ~Saginaw, will bring musical comedy and operetta back ~to Michigan this summer under a double banner. Adams will open the Pine Run showplace for its third season in the Saginaw Valley on ~June 17, and simultaneously will produce at the Music Circle at Botsford Inn near. Detroit. The Music.Circle succeeds the Musie Circut which closed becduse of financial difficulties last~ season but which Adams_has reorganized under the new name. Friley, Mrs, John McCain, Mrs. Gail Reaves and others. Mr. and Mrs. Benus Hedrick bound Wednesday an ideal day for motoring,and as the story goes they proceeded to, Chicago. Greenes entertained the Kappas with a breakfast Thursday morning in their very lovely home on McPhail street. Later in the day the group enjoyed barbeque and a day in the onen. Thev were: Dr. and Mrs. Clinton Canady, Lansing, Dr. A. Maben, Detroit, Dr. and Mrs. F. Plhimmer, Grand Rapids, Mr.-and Mrs. Grant Cobb, and Dr. and Mrs. Wrex A. Weaver Sr., and family, Mr. and Mrg. Harry M. Purdue and party, Jimmie Mae Bailey,, Flint; cousin from Arkansas, Mr. and Mrs. Allan Barnes and John Davis, Harry's sister, Iva Williams, of Kalamazoo spent the holiday week-end at the host summer home on Forest Drive in Idlewild. Festivities of the opening of the season were enjoyed by this group. r. and It was the choice of many Plinkites to entertain relatives + and friends in their homes. Sizzling barbeque seemed traditional on the holiday menu. Mr. and Mrs. Albert Reed, Lapeer street, found their back lawn an excellent spot for the family.. The Edward Bonners on Grant street} included their sister and sister-in-laws, Ruby Howell and Leola Ford in their Decoration Day activities which was a.lawn picnic. The Arthur Edmonds invited the Howard Bannisters, the Connie Childresses, Atty. Price, Flint, and Carmelita Whitney, Detroit, for a picnic gathering i in oot home on. on Whitt-_ ~ and niece and Mrs. Jones of Flint. Their spatious lawn: made ' quite the picture for the outdoor gathering, Al Garner, Bronze Reporter (Hello Folks) was.guest,: along with Mrs. Eluline Stills-and the William Thrashers who journeyed to Bay City park where the day was spent picnicing and bathing inthe sun. | And here ~is some delightful news, ladies:; just the other day I met a most charming person. Her name is Lil Shields, a professional: model, who comes from Milwaukee, Wis. Lil is here with her hubby, Harvey Shields, and four year old son, Harvey Jr., who reside on.Seventh street. We met quite unexpectedly and how nice it-was becom- ~~ ing acquainted with Lil. ~ She mentioned the fact, how impressed she was with the general appearance of the women in Flint. Wayne Johnson is president of the League who recently took.up the new residence.
