Statements on Clean-Up Project HOUSEWIFE MRS. MILDRED COLEMAN Moore Street ~The clean-up week is a wonderful idea and I plan to do all I can in order to encourage it, although I am working. ~Today, Wednesday, is the first day I have had off for quite some time and my neighbors:and I were just saying that probably encourage a lot of the the national city clean up will husbands to do a little of the work the wives have been trying to get them to do.~ + * * BUSINESSMAN MR. ERNEST TAYLOR Stewart St. ~The City-Wide Clean Up campaign is one of the most important and eventful things that comes about annually in our fair city. ~It is inspirational in keeping self vride, maintaining what is vours. The average person keeps up his automobile, why not fake part in ~keeping up your home and your city. ~The last few years that the Block Units have been organized, you can.see much improvement in the areas that have them.~ * a & Block Captain Maines Street Unit MR. OLIVER ROLAND ~I think the Clean Up campaign is a very good idea and everyone should take part. We should get our trash into containers on the curb in plenty of ments by washing or painting time and make any improvewhatever is needed and other general ones. ~I~ certainly hope all the neighbors ~will take part in the project. The progress shown thus far in our area is very encouraging. Through the splendid leadership in the block units considerable sutvéssful clean up campaigns will conclude. ~Leroy Kelley, Houlis Rogers, Ethel Edwards, Rosie Abernathy, Christine and Dave Cundiff, and the entire Maines Street Unit have made tireless efforts in making this successful.~ i * * % CALF MRS.
