College Fund. as she assumes chairmanship of the Uptown Division of UNCF. The announcement of her appointment was made by Lee Hastings Bristol, national pajgen.. MRS. BUCHANAN | A native New Yorker, Mrs. Buchanan is an alumnus of the dramatic and musical comedy stage of the twenties. Since her marriage 25 years ago to Charles Buchanan, r~naging director of the famed Savoy Ballroom. she has given full-time attention to civic and welfare activities. She is presently on the board of directors of Forest House and vice president of the Lemuel Philanthropic League. Mrs.. Buchanan~s election as Assemblywoman marked the first time she had ever sought public office.
