When Rock and Roll swept over the nation, Little Richard simply got on the band sg, first hit was ~Tootie-Frootie,~ followed by ~Long Tall Sally, ~Slip~n and Slid~n,~ and ~Rip It ba are all his own compossit ions While. the money earned during this Rock and Roll popularity more than makes up for lack of enthusiasm~ for the entertain- ~ ment world, Little Richard has definite plaris for the future, and Rock and Roll is not included. Little Richard said he was sincere when he confesses that he doesn~t drink the hard stuff, smoke, or like to party as other members of his profession. His plans, after Rock and Roll Et out, call for ~making his in Los Angeles, furthering himself ii music, and he says he would like to work as an evangelist because the life of an en tertainer just doesn~t appeal to. im. Telling me of some of his experiences, I found this incident very amusing. After cutting ~Tootie-Fruitie,~ he went on a tour, this tour took him to his | home in Macon, It seemed while he was in the golden state, he had engaged an ofay chauffeur to drive his cream and gold fishtail. Out west, no one seemed to give the set up a second thought. The trip went off without a hitch until he reached home. Well, an alert police officer saw him ~sitting in the back of this caddie with an ofay driving. The officer promtly flagged the car to the curb, and was about to use his stick. ~You can arrest me, officer, ake ee ge me; there wi nty 0 uble if you do.~ Little Richard claimed he told the angry officer. The officer changed ~his mind and whisked the pair off to jail.
