CONTRIBUTIONS: (For Taxpayers Not Claiming Standard Dedua In general, tarpayers are allowcontributions paid to: Churches (But not gifts to clergyman or tuition paid to Parechial schools) Education] organizations (But not tuition) -Hospital (But not payinet for individual care) Charitable. organizations, such |. as: Community Chest, Red Cross, etc. ( Boy Scouts or Girl Scouts Veterans organization (But hot membership dues) Y.M.C.A. or Y.W.C.A.~ (Again, not dues) 4-H clubs The following are some type of contributions that are not allowed as deduction: ~ To any. family or individual (no matter how needy) Scoial clubs" Labor Unions Bar association Communistic action and communistic fornt organizations Political parties or candidates The deduction for contributions is the amount actually paid, limited to 20% of the adjusted gross income (the amount shown on line SMASHED Raid Nets 10 men County and City Officers Cooper ate in Arrests. | An anonymous informer told Sheriff Don H. Car=. michael that a betting ring was operating outside the city of Flint. Last Sunday investigation was begun. Upon infor: mation received county deputies were able to spot the car the individuals used. They observed his routine before pulling him in for questioning. His name is Roscoe Jones, 35, of 218 KE.
