Criticizes Railroad Advertizing Campaign Farmers and small businossmen, ong concerned about railroad fr. eight rates, are in for another battle. The Association \of~ American railuoads,: the biggest lobby in Washington, has for months been onducting a huge adventising campaign, to convince the public that government regulation of railroad and a long list of other magazines. A full-page ad in LIFE alene costs $20,350. When the railroads spend that kind of monéy to advertise, not to win more passengers or more freight, but to win political adavntage, the public has a right and a duty to be suspicious. The railroads are trying to promote the so-called ~Weeks Report~~. The meeting, sponsored by the Flint Bahai Community, featured a twenty minute concert by the Norton Male Chorus, a talk entitl~ed, ~Brotherhood Unlimited~, by Rev. John H. Morgan of the Congregational Unitarian Church, two ivocal selections by Paul Peter, local soloist, and Geotge H. Bradt.III, attorney and vice} chairman of the Flint Bahai Assembly, spoke on ~The Golden Rule, Key to World Brotherhood~~. To close~ the meeting,, Paul Peters gave two more vocal selections. A tea followed the program. The Weeks Report, and the bill in Congress that would put the Weeks Report into effect, would allow railroads to lower where they wanted to drive out trucking competition.
