Police reported that Eugene North St. and Irvin C. French of 929 E. 8th St., were spotted in the 800 block of Floral Park about 2:30 a.m. Saturday night. Officers George Ananich saw Hannah holding a gun to the head of taxi driver, Fred Seibers, 766 Cornelia. Ananich with pistol in his hand, told Hannah to drop his gun. Officer Mr. Steele joined lis pardner and took the bandits to he police station: They had taken $17.00 from Selbers. Carroll Richmond, 135 E. Edmonds reported that about 12:30 a.m., Saturday, January 28, he was driving his cab in the 3000 block of -industrial Avenue., two men hailed him and ordered him to drive them to Central Ave., In the 1300 block of Central, the two men, using a knife, robbed him of $26.00 and put him out of his cab. It was later found on Henelt between Idaho and Oregon. Bad Week For Petty Thieves A few persons had bad luck this week as they were detected shop: ifting by officers of the law. Some had something in common, they were caught stealing food, according to Police reports: Jessie Walker was stopped at the door of one of Hamady Brothers~s Food Markets Sunday, Jan ~uary 29 after she walked passed the checkout counter. She simply paid for groceries and neglected to pay for a Chuck Roast that was concealed (of all places) between her lower extremitees. ~She was and Hardenburg. * * * 2 i Officers James Foster and Charles Murray arrested Cornelius Johnson, 27, of Idaho Street last Friday, January~ 27 for failing to pay for one-package of shrimp which was struck under his coat. * * * * Willie Davis ~of Florida Avenue, claims that he intended to pay for a can of shrimp which\was found in his coat. pocket.
