The ball, held in Flint~s Armoy, was well attended by at least 500 people according to a conservative estimate. Guests from six cities were in ~ Mr. attendance, as Detroit, Bay City, Saginaw, Pontiac, Lansing and Grand Rapid. In addition to coverage by our local newspaper, The Mich igan Chronicle was on hand to cover Alphas first annual ball. ~Formal attire was the order o the day. The women were charringly ~vogue~ and the men were thandsomely ~esquire~ as merry couples. danced to the enchanting musical notes of Bob Alexander's orchestra. The guests list included many well-known Michigan personalities. Mr. and Mrs. C. F., Williams, Mr. and Mrs. Grady Truss, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur J. The Flint Chapter of the Alpha Phi Apha Fraternity consists of twenty-one members. The officers of the group are: president, Mr. M. A. Wright vice-president, Dr. Leroy Barnes (Saginaw); treasurer, Dr.'J.D. Wilson; secretary, Dr. Wendell Harris; correspond jing secretary, Mr. Frederick Waljler; chaplain, Mr. R. H. Dunning; parliamentarian, Dr. Clarence _B. Kimbrough; and sergeant-at-arms, Atty. Ralph I. Selby. The Alpha Program Committee headed by Mr. James R. Johnson, chairman is to be commended for a job well done. Mrs.\Willis Home Mrs. Alverta Willis, 906 Myrtle, was hostess to the Bon Ami Bridge Club last Wednesday night, November 9. Lovely bouquets of chrysanthemum added to the charm of her home as club members enjoyed her appetizing refyeshments. Following the business meeting the ladies played bridge rounding out an enjoyable evening, The George Stevens sive Pre-Formal Party _ Atty and Mrs. George Stevens intertained guests in their home last Saturday, November 13, before the Alpha Phi Alpha formal.
