The white Citizens Councils have encouraged ~an economic boycott -of colored citizens who stand up for their rights have sought to have militant Negroes fired from jobs and have instigated denial of! credit to farmers and smal] businessmen in order to force them to accept the Mississippi Jim Crow ~system. Mr. Murphy received all the acts of violence of record that have been cimmitted in ser Peay Rev. Geo. W. Lee (May 7, 1955) to the brutal Till Murder (August 29, 1955).
